Our management capability brings together an unparalleled combination of utility, business, professional and technical experience.

Mr. Thomas G. Eckhart, Chief Executive Officer, is a cofounder of UCONS with 37 years experience in the design, development and implementation of demand and supply side resource programs. A licensed professional engineer, Mr. Eckhart began his career with Westinghouse Electric and EXXON Nuclear. Most recently, he has coordinated the development and marketing of independent power projects for ZURN Industries in the United States and Canada. He also directed Puget Sound Energy's award winning residential conservation programs. He is a board member of NAESCO and is currently co-chair of residential programs.

Ms. Shani Taha, Executive Vice President Marketing and Operations, served for two years as a marketing advisor to UCONS before joining our management team. Her professional credentials include service as Deputy Superintendent under the Hardy administration at Seattle City Light, the nation's seventh largest municipal utility. There she was responsible for retail operations and demand-side resources planning and program implementation. She served on EPRI's Research Advisory Committee, and was an officer and Chair of the American Public Power Association's Customer and Energy Services Committee. She also participated in several international delegations to Italy and Sweden on demand-side management and integrated resources planning.

In addition to our senior management team, UCONS has constructed a uniquely qualified Northwest advisory team that is available to assist us in addressing the specific requirements of each project as needed.

Legal Counsel
John Gould, formerly of Lane Powell, now in private practice, handles our corporate matters. Mr. Gould has a strong background in regulatory and utility energy matters. He has 40 years experience guiding national energy and regulatory programs, with an emphasis on service to the utility industry.

Accounting & Tax Services
Moss Adams of Seattle, Washington has served as corporate accountant and financial advisors to UCONS since 1993, providing full service accounting advice and technical services. Mr. Chuck Pietka heads the Moss Adams team that works on our behalf.

Measurement & Verification
Howard Reichmuth has supported UCONS' management team since 1993 in the development of new programs and evaluation of energy savings and performance of previously completed programs. Mr. Reichmuth is nationally recognized for his contributions to the development of innovative programs and methodologies for evaluating energy savings from complex energy efficiency programs.

Program Management & Training
Energy Services Group (ESG) was started by Portland General Electric in 2001 to support utility business in California, Washington and Oregon. In 2005 it was restructured and has supported UCONS since that time in the critical areas of: technical specification preparation; independent field QC and QA; field training and mentoring.
